Project Development:
EEI is able to provide a complete project development service on behalf
of development companies or investors. Managing the project development process
from initial project identification through contracts negotiation and execution
to achieve successful start up of commercial operation.
Alternatively, EEI can provide specific services as required by an individual
client:
Market selection and assessment:
Review of potential markets or industry sectors to identify suitable markets for
energy investments.
Project assessment and selection studies:
To identify attractive projects, and to select and compare projects to ensure
that the best opportunities are adopted from the range available.
Feasibility Studies:
To examine the technical and commercial feasibility of projects before making an
investment decision.
Project Evaluation:
Financial modelling to determine whether an investment opportunity will provide
the required returns taking into account all relevant assumptions and risks for
the project.
Technical Solutions:
Identifying the range of viable technical options for a project and finding the
most suitable solution required to meet all investment parameters.
Risk Assessment and Management:
Clarifying project risks, identifying actions to mitigate risks, and managing
such risks to turn them into actions or opportunities.
Contract Negotiation:
Negotiation of fuel supply and energy sales contracts, development agreements,
construction and service contracts, and other contracts required to complete
project development.
Introduction of Investors:
Selection and introduction of investors for energy customers, either as a
single investor, or as a group of investors co-ordinated by EEI.
Project Financing:
Identifying lenders to provide the balance of project finance in addition to
that contributed by the investor, negotiation of lending agreements, completing
all necessary documentation to close project financing.
Construction Management:
Negotiation of equipment supply and construction contracts and management of the
supply and construction process through to plant commissioning.
Commercial Operation:
Plant commissioning, recruitment of operations staff, or hand-over to an
operations team, and start up of commercial operation.
